Possible Photo Essay Photos

The opening photo is that of a embarrassed, timid girl that will serve as the lead photo to grab the readers attention and to give a sense as to what type of story this will be.  This photo in the story will be from acne's point of view symbolizing how this girl was a prisoner to her acne.

This second photo is a detail photo that portray's how the girl feels.  The bag over her head with the emotionless expression represents how acne is making her not want to show her face to the world because she should be ashamed of it.  This will still be told from acne's point of view.

This third photo is also a detail photo that supplements the second one.  Still being told from acne's perspective this photo will serve in showing how because to acne she cannot bear to look at herself in the mirror.

This fourth photo once again being told from acne's point of view, is a close up photo of the girl's hand.  This will bring to light the amount of makeup the girl feels she needs to wear, almost like a mask, in order to go out in public.

The fifth photo is the last one being told from acne's point of view and is a portrait photo that portrays the emotions the girl is feeling.  Acne is telling her she is ugly and is telling her that that's what everyone thinking about her as well.  She believes it so much she sees it on her forehead.
This sixth photo is a turning point for the girl.  She decides that she isn't going to let acne control her anymore and to actually do something about it.  At this point in the story she will see a dermatologist and this shows all the products she was given.  I wanted to show the entire skin care routine and not just the prescribed medications to make the audience aware of how many items she is using.

The seventh photo is a close up of a half bare back.  This signifies vulnerability and how at first for the girl it was tough to accept herself.  Self love is not an over night thing, it it a process.  This part of the story will be when the girl beings to reveal parts of her acne, specifically her chest and back.

The eight photo is a detail photo and is yet another step in the girl loving herself.  She writes out everything she is insecure about and realizes that they are apart of her and have made her who she is today.  At this point she begins to discover her worth and her strength she has gained from this experience.

The ninth photo is a close up photo and shows the girl with no makeup on once again.  Except this time her emotion is different.  Where as before in the first photo she was hiding her acne, now she is letting it show.  Even though in both photos the acne was show there is a clear shift in confidence and demeanor between the two.

The tenth photo is the signature photo and is the girls face completely bare and fully shown.  The lighting is bright and you can see every bump and scar.  However the girl does not care.  This photo was taken a few months ago when I again had another big flare up.  It did not affect me emotionally whatsoever and did not bring my confidence down.  I left my house without makeup on and I didn't let my skin define me.
The last photo is the clincher or final photo which is a picture of my bare skin now.  In the story this will be the part where I explain that currently my skin is in a good condition but even if it wasn't I would still have the same smile on my face. The lesson I want people to take from this last photo is that they are beautiful and to embrace their insecurities and imperfections.
